Bunk Beds

Let me brag about my awesome husband....
He made this....Yes, that is right, it is a Toddler Sized Bunk Bed. With the immanent arrival of monkey number three, we relised that three bed in one tiny bedroom is not going to work. So we either needed to move or get a bunk bed. And seeing as we don't foresee a move in the near future, the bunk bed is the only choice. But still, a twin sized bunk bed would be huge in the room, so Tom decided to make a toddler bunk bed.

It turned out awesome. My hubby never cease to amaze me. We got the plans from our brother-in-law who is a complete math whiz, and converted the plans from a twin sized bunk bed he found on Ana-White.com.

Here are some pics of the boys checking out their new bed:

Tom and the Amazing Techicolor Dream Coat!

I have exciting news.....
Tom has been casted as Ruben in Joseph and the Amazing TechniColored Dream Coat at PickleVille Playhouse in Garden City
. This is going to be Tom's 5th season at PickleVille.

If you have never been to a PickleVille play, this is the perfect time to do it. It is one of our family's favorite summer traditions. They always deliver a great show, and everyone will enjoy it; Tal was fascinated during the show last year, and he was only 6 months old. It is totally worth the drive; you will NOT be disappointed.

I would love for you all to come and support Tom if you get a chance! The show runs from June 16- Sept 3 (Tom will not be appearing in the show on June 16, so don't go that night).

Below is a link to the PickleVille site, where you can see the schedule and ticket information. You can do dinner and the Show or just the Show; and there are group discounts.

So go, get your tickets soon.

Daddy Dressed Me

I once thought that Tom had a better sense of style than I do. Now I am not so sure. Here are some samples of some of the outfits he has put Talmage in recently....

32 Spankings

Today is Thomas' birthday. Poor guy has hardly even been home to celebrate. He had a staff meeting during lunch, then a recruiting meeting after work, and now he is at scouts. What a trooper. He did sneek home for about 10 minutes today, during which Owen attacted him with spankings. Tom informed him that he only got 16 spankings, which was the green light for Owen, and Tal, to spank him until he had to leave again. I am sure that he got well over the 32 spankings he was in store for.

Happy Valenite's Day

Four years ago I went out on a random date with a guy on Valentine's Day. I guarantee that I would not have believe it if someone had told me that four years from then I would be married to this same guy, had moved a cross the county, put him through a Doctorate Program, have had two kids, and have moved right back to where we started. But that is exactly what has happened.

Yes, Valentine's Day is the anniversary of Tom's and my first date (cheesy, I know). We have been together for just Four years; in a way it feels like just yesterday was our first date, but we have done some much in such little time, that it also feels like we have been together forever.

One of the things that has happened, is that my wedding ring was stollen. Last March we went swimming at a friend's condo. I put my ring in a bag, and when I came back it was gone. :-( We looked everywhere for it; we posted ads on Craig's List for it's return, we filed a police report. But sadly it never turned up. I was so sad when we left Portland, because I knew there would be no way we would ever recover it if we did not live in the state.

I have been so bummed about my ring, but my tricky husband always has something up his sleeve. On Valentines Day he made this big fancy dinner, set the table with our nice dishes, and candles (mind you the candle were in upside down paper cups with holes punched in them, because we don't own candle sticks). Having two kids at the table makes it hard to have a romantic candle lit dinner, but it was Romanic and Charming.

As we are eating dinner Tom says "Know what would make this perfect....? If I had your ring."
Next thing I know he is down one one knee, and pulls a ring out from (he had taped it the bottom of the table just like when he had proposed).

HE HAD MY RING REMADE!!!! How thoughtful is he??? What a sweet heart I am married to.
Here is my new ring:

And here is a picture of the original:
I think he did a pretty good job.

So what did I give Tom? Well, every year I do 14 days of Valentines for Tom. This year, I did candy bars (ie. "I am never going to let you slip through my Butterfingers," or "Orange you glad we are married?" Some how I think He won for best gift given this year.

Mr. D.C.

Tom got the results of his final National Board Exam today. He totally passed! In fact, I think it is safe to say that he knocked it out of the park! So it is officially official now, Tom is a Doctor of Chiropractic!

So what are we going to do now that he is done with school, and a certified Chiropractor? Well, let me tell you. WE ARE MOVING TO CACHE VALLEY UTAH! Yep Tom got a job working in a Chiropractic Office in Providence UT. It is a super nice office too. It is called Advanced Spine Chiropractic and Health. Here is the link to the website.

So, every one who lives in Cache Valley should come and have Tom adjust you, after February 1, cause that is the day he starts. We will be moving the last weekend of January, so if any of you want to help us with that, you are more than welcome.

I know that I have posted a picture like this before, but this is the Finished Product! Tom has collected one pencil for every test that he has taken during his Chiropractic Education, including one for each Board Exam (there are 5 of those). I once counted how many there were, it was well above 250. Wow, that is a lot of work he did.

Graduation Congratulation

Let me brag about my hubby for just a second. He graduated on Saturday.
He is now officially Dr. Thomas Fullmer D.C. Yes, that is right, I am married to a doctor.
I am so proud of Tom. The Chiropractic Program is pretty intense. There are some quarters that he was carrying nearly 40 credit hours. But he worked super hard, and made it through, and I could not be prouder. There were times that I felt like a single parent, because Tom would be out the door by 7:00 am, and would not come home until 10:30 or 11:00 at night. There was one quarter when Owen only saw Tom on
the weekends. I am glad those days are behind us, but I am grateful to Tom for how hard he has worked.

So here are some pictures from the Big Event on Saturday!

There were around 68 graduates from Western States College of Chiropractic. Here is a picture of them taking the Chiropractic Oaf.

As great of a Commencement Ceremony as it was, Owen got a little board. Thank Goodness Grandpa was there.

Tom and some buddies

The FAB FOUR: Here is a picture of Tom and his closest buddies from school. These 4 guys turn into LITTLE BOYS when they are together. Tom says that it was their way of staying sane during the program; but mostly, I think that they wanted to see what kind of crazy thing they could get Tom to do, join some extreme weight loss competition, or run across the tables like a raptor during a lecture. They have that kind of friendship that you know is going to last for years. Thanks for being there guys.

Welcome Home Daddy!!!

Tom spent last week in Utah, shadowing chiropractors.  It was really weird not having him here.  Owen and I really missed him.  Let me tell you, I am so grateful for video chats, it made week bearable to be able to see and talk with Tom each night.

When we picked Tom up from the airport Owen was so excited.  As soon as he was his Daddy walking towards him, he was in a mad dash to his arms.

Neither of them could stop smiling, they were so glad to that we were all back together.

I am glad too.  Having Tom gone really made me appreciate him more.  I love you Tom, and I am so glad you are home.

Attack of the Blue Lake Monster

Yesturday, Tom spent the day at Blue Lake Park treating people at some sort of Health Fair.  After he was finished, Owen and I met him at the park to have a picnic dinner.  The dinner was nothing fancy just Burger King, but there was a squirrel who could not get enough of it.  She kept on sneaking up and trying to grab fries out of our bag.  At one point she actually climbed up on Tom, to try and grab the french fry out of his hand.

After our encounter with the Blue Lake Monster, Owen and Tom went for a run through the Water Play ground.  They had a great time, but I swear when ever Tom gets around things like that, the little 8 year-old boy in him comes out.  Seriously, I felt like I was watching my 2 LITTLE boys running through the water.  What am I going to do when I really do have 2 little boys?!?!?!

HAPPY ANNIVERSARY MISTER!!!

I know that it has been way too long since I have posted, I blame it on this pregnancy.  I have been so tired, that when I am not working or playing with Owen, I am sleeping.  As a result, blogging has taken the back seat in my life for the past month and a half.  I promise, I am going to get better.  I have a ton to update.

So what brought me out of my Blogging Hiatus?  It had to be something Monumental...Right?

Well yes, it is.  TODAY is mine and Tom's THIRD ANNIVERSARY!!!  I honestly cannot believe that we have been married for 3 years.  It some times feels like we just met yesterday, and then there are times that it feels like we have been married forever, and hat we have always been in each others lives.

So, I just wanted to tell Tom, and the rest of the world how grateful I am that he is my hubby, and that I love him a whole LOT.

Big Gulp Anyone?

We all know how much Tom loves to experiment with all these crazy diets and cleanses. So far he has done the following: the lemonade diet, the ape diet, the all meat diet, the P90X diet, the carb-hour diet, and the cabbage diet. He has seen decent results with most of them, but I am worried this the Big Gulp Diet is not working for him.

***Ha, ha, ha.  Just kidding.  This is not Tom, and he really hasn't done ALL of those diets, just most of them.***

We Finally Did It.

Well, it is official, Tom and I have now joined the "Evil Network" as I call it.  You might know is as FACEBOOK.  Go ahead, look us up: Rosie - diffendoofer@hotmail.com, Tom - Thomfullmer@gmail.com.  I think that it will be fun being able to reconnect with people, but I honestly don't see myself falling in love with it.

I mostly created the account so that people could find my blog.  Lets be honest, I am too lazy to give the world constant updates on more then one website; Anyone who is linked to my Good Reads account can testify to that; I rarely update that.  But I guess we will see how I do with FaceBook this time around.  Hopefully, I will keep it active enough for it not to get closed.  :0)

What in the.......?!?!?!?

On Wednesday afternoons Tom works at the School's Chiropractic Clinic in Downtown Portland.  The clinic does not close until 7:00. Which means that after finishing up paper work, hoping on the train, and then carpooling from the train station, Tom does not get home until close to 8:00 pm on Wednesday nights.  And Owen and I are more than ready for him to be home by that time of night.

Well today, on the way home from clinic, Tom calls and tells me that he "has to go get something" from our friend's Jeff and Amy's house before he comes home, and that he would need me to pick him up in about 30 minutes.  It sounded a little suspicious, but I figured that Mother's Day is on Sunday, and maybe he had something up his sleeve; so I did not ask questions, and dutifully went to pick him up at the time he asked.

When I got over to Jeff and Amy's place, Tom and Jeff were nowhere to be found.  So I asked Amy where they were, and she just smirks and says, "Oh, they are in the garage.  They will be out in a minute."  So, of course I ask what they are up too, and She says, "Oh you will see!"

By this time, my head is swimming trying to figure out what kind of surprise Tom has for my, and why he has been keeping it in the Jensen's garage.  Well, would you like to see?

SCROLL DOWN.........

Yes, that is right, HE BUZZED HIS HAIR.  There I am sitting in the living room, anticipating some great big surprise, and Tom walks in with next to NO HAIR.  Well, I guess I was definitely surprised, just not the way I was expecting to be.  And of course the first thing he says is, "What do you think?"

What do I think?!?!? I think I like his head full of hair.  I think I would have liked to have been consulted before take away all my husband's hair.  I think it makes him look WAAYYYYY different.  I think he has a nice shaped head (which I could never see before).  And I think that I am glad that balding is NOT a trait that runs in his family.  Hallelujah!!!

Well, I guess I gotta look on the bright side; what is done is done.  It will grow back in a few weeks, so it would be silly to get mad about it.  But until it grows back, I have all rights to tease him.

Here's one more look at his new due (ok it is a couple more pictures):

One More Step...

More exciting news in Tom's quest to be a Chiropractor... HE PASSED BOARDS!!!  There are five Board exams that have to be passed before becoming a Chiropractor.  The National Board of Chiropractic is nice enough to divid them up, and administer them at different points of school.

Tom took the first one a year ago.  And last month he took three more.  Scores were released at 5:00 am this morning.  I was woken up by a very happy Tom jumping on the bed singing, "I PASSED!! I PASSED!!"

SO now, Tom is officially 4/5 of a Chiropractor!

Pinned!!!

Well, it is official, Tom is now treating the public!
Tonight was the traditional Pinning Ceremony at Western States Chiropractic College.  What is this you asks?  Well, it is basically a right of passage for Tenth Quarter students, that indicates the end of most of their class work, and the beginning of their Clinic work.  Basically one step closer to being a doctor!

I am so proud of Thomas.  He has been working so hard; he spent 9 months with a cadaver; stayed countless nights at the library until it is closed; pulled more all nighters then I can count;  I have lost track of how many days Tom has woken up at 4:00 am to make sure he has really learned he material; and he has taken something like 160 tests in the past 3.5 years.

Congratulations Sweetheart!!!
Keep up the GOOD WORK!  You are almost done!!!
Just 9 more months are you will be a Chiropractor!!!!

Look at all the Interns getting Pinned!
(They are the ones in white.)  Congratulations Guys!

Tom with his Supervising Clinician.

Tom fashioning his new PIN on his lapel.
Isn't he HOT!?!?!?!?

The interns decided to give their families a Standing Ovation for all their support.

Tom has saved a pencil from every test he has taken since he has been at Western States.  Here is a picture of his collection thus far.  Keep in mind, he still has 9 months of school.  I just did a quick count, and there is approximately 160 pencils the bundle.

A Beautiful Day for Boating

The past couple of days have
been beautiful here in Portland.  So beautiful, that our friends, Cody and Tennille, decided to take their boat out, and invited us long for the fun!  They just bought this boat a couple of weeks ago, so this was their first launch with Violet (the boat).

We went to Lacamas Lake in Camas, Washington.  I didn't even know that there was a lake in Camas, but it is beautiful.  However, there are two docks at the lake, if you ever go there, I would recommend launching from the north shore, because the lake gets pretty shallow on by the east dock (we scraped bottom,
don't worry, Cody says the boat is fine).

After we got past the shallow part, we had a blast!  Owen did not quite know what to think at first, but he eventually warmed up to the whole thing once we gave him a job.

Can I just tell you that I think boys are crazy?  Yes, it has been beautiful the past couple of days.  You could even say that it has warmed up a bit, but the water in the lake was FREEZING.  So what does Tom and Cody ?  Well, of course, boy logic kicks in, and they go Wake Boarding.  Why go to all the trouble of taking a boat out on the water, and not take advantage of being pulled behind it, despite the frigid temperature of the water?

Here is a picture of Tom catching some sweet air.

And here is a picture of his life jacket blowing off him.  :0)

Yeah, it was pretty awesome.  We can't wait to go again.  Thanks for all the fun Cody and Tennille!
