Hot Dog!!!!

I saw something today that I honestly thought I would never see in real life.  Owen and I were driving to the store, when I see a childhood dream parked in the parking lot of a hotel.  There sitting proudly, and ever so identifiable was the WIENERMOBILE!  Holy Cow, I was so excited!  So I pulled into the hotel parking lot, got Owen out of the car and took a picture of this exciting moment in my life.
This is huge.  I mean it is not everyday that you get to see the WienerMobile!

We Finally Did It.

Well, it is official, Tom and I have now joined the "Evil Network" as I call it.  You might know is as FACEBOOK.  Go ahead, look us up: Rosie - diffendoofer@hotmail.com, Tom - Thomfullmer@gmail.com.  I think that it will be fun being able to reconnect with people, but I honestly don't see myself falling in love with it.

I mostly created the account so that people could find my blog.  Lets be honest, I am too lazy to give the world constant updates on more then one website; Anyone who is linked to my Good Reads account can testify to that; I rarely update that.  But I guess we will see how I do with FaceBook this time around.  Hopefully, I will keep it active enough for it not to get closed.  :0)

National ODD Day - 5/7/9

Well, today was National ODD Day, which takes place when three consecutive odd numbers make up the date. This only happens six times in a century!  So needless to say, I have spent the entire day trying to do random odd things, such as: going with my friend Jenn to Walmart to make Mother's Day cards for OURSELVES; driving all the way out to Oxbow Park just to take a picture of a outhouse (and when I got there, I forgot to take the picture); and posting a personal ad on Craig's List for my single friend.

But of all the dumb things that I did, and saw today, this has got to take the cake.  My mom sent me this email today, and Oh Boy does it ever fit in the "ODD" category.

You have to watch the whole thing, it starts getting really crazy about 1 minute into it.

Big Dreams, and Silly Pass Times

Here is my confession.  I have the silliest obsession, and I am sure it is not healthy.  Awhile ago, I cam across a House Plan website, and I have been hooked ever since.  I have developed a new past time of looking for my Dream Home.  I guess that it is not a new past time; ever since I was a little girl I have loved looking at floor plans.  I don't know why, but I can just get lost staring at house designs, trying to envision what they will look like built.  I enjoy this so much, that sometimes I think that I went into the wrong field; I should have studied architectural design instead of Health and Wellness, especially since I spend more time with house plans and real estate (ie apartments) then I do with work out plans and diets.

There are actually quit a few house plan websites.  Some of them are really cool, you can do an "Advanced Search" and list everything you want in a house, and it will filter through thousands of blueprints, and show you all the plans that meet your criteria.  I have a binder full of floor plans I like, and pictures of design elements I want in my house when I grow up.  Awesome, right?  Well, I think it is.

In fact, I have found my dream house.  You can click here to see all of its details.  One day, when we are rich, and can afford things, and Tom has a successful practice, and we have paid off his student loans, and we have saved up a lot of money, we just might build this house.  I guess we will have to see.

Doughnut Math

I had an urge today, a doughnut urge.  Tom and I were talking to our friend Jenn, when all of the sudden a doughnut sounded really, really good.  It was unaminous, what better way to celebrate President's Day then to gorge ourselves one an All American Doughnut?  And what better place to get a doughnut then Portland's famous Doughnut shop Voodoo Doughnuts?  So we all pile in the car, and embark on the day adventure to the doughnut shop.

There are 2 Voodoo Doughnut shops.  We went to one, only to find out that they only take cash...who carries cash?  So we decided to try and find the other location, which is in the Heart of Portland.  The roads in Portland City Center are crazy, so needless to say we drove around for a while with out finding our destination.

So we headed home, a bit crestfallen, and then we remembered that there was a Doughnut Shop just a few blocks from our house: Winchelle's DO NUT (why people spell doughnut like that is beyond me).  We each wanted A doughnut; three adult = three doughnuts, simple math right?  You would think, but we found out that a "Doughnut dozen," which is 14, was only $5.50. Tom's doughnut math kicked in, and he realized we could get 3 doughnuts for $.88 each (thats $2.70), OR we could get 14 for $5.50.  Lets be honest folks, we are American, of coarse we ended up with 14 doughnuts. Did we need 14 doughnuts? No.  Did we want 14 doughnuts? No.  But the fact of the matter remains, we got 14 doughnuts, and we will eat, and enjoy those 14 doughnuts.  Why because we are American, and thats what Americans do, we buy things that seem to be a better deal wether we need them or not. But, Mmmmm boy, this time it was good.  I like doughnut math.

Pancakes Anyone?

Today, I joined 2 Million fellow Americans, and stood in line for a FREE Grand Slam Breakfast from Denny's Restaurant.  I met a couple of friends at the local Denny's at 11:30.  Oh Boy, was that a joke.  There was a line that literally wrapped around the building.  I had heard on the radio that they were getting people in and out of there with in 30-40 minutes.  I asked some one at the front of the line how ling he had been waiting, and he said it had only been 25 minutes, so we decided to wait it out...for a while.

We stood in line for 20 or so minutes (luckily it was a beautiful day), and decided that we weren't getting free pancakes anytime soon.  Our time was worth more then free food.  So we decided to go to
our place and make pancakes and eggs instead.  It turned out pretty fun!  And they probably tasted just as good.

The Adventures of ShowerMan and BathBoy!

We have a collection of Hooded Towels for when we give Owen baths.  Last night after his bath I wrapped Owen up in one of these towels, and Tom decided that he also needed to wear a hooded towel, because he had just gotten out of the bath too.  Here are some of the pictures I took.
