Diving for Boxes

Tom and I and working like mad to be ready to move tomorrow.  Last night we realized we needed a lot more boxes, so we went out for a BOX Hunt, and by hunt I mean adventure, and by adventure I mean DUMPSTER DIVING!

We found the best place for boxes.  The LIQUOR STORE!  It was like
the fountain of gold for moving boxes.  They had a ton of them,
and most of them are the perfect size for food  storage.   The boxes just happen to be covered in alcohol labels.  I just hope that our ward doesn't think that we are crazy when they come to help, and see what kind of boxes we have.

Softball Softies

So any one how knows me, knows that I am a huge NCAA fan.  I was lucky enough to be Utah State's NCAA rep a couple of years ago.  This is a super cool story about an NCAA Softball game that took place in Washington.  Check it out.

Moving On

Up until about a month ago, I worked for OHSU, the medical school here in Portland.  Back in January they lost a major law suit, which left them no choice but to let nearly 300 employees go.  I was one of them.  I got laid off in the middle of my maternity leave; which turned out to be a hidden blessing, because I could stay home with Owen.  However, I was still worried about not having a job.  School is so busy that it would be hard for Tom to work, and we don't want to live off student loans.
So we started looking for jobs that I could do from home; and we said a lot of prayers.  Well, our prayers were answered!  We just found out earlier today that we are going to Apartment Managers.  And they want us to start next week.  That means we have to move this weekend.  All of the sudden, I have a whole apartment to pack up.

It is really a great little set up.  We get to live in this cute little house, for free, and I only have to work 20 hours a week.  It will be so nice to be able to work from home, and to live in a house!  It is like a dream come true.

We are moving from this:

Cute, ehh?

The Adventures of ShowerMan and BathBoy!

We have a collection of Hooded Towels for when we give Owen baths.  Last night after his bath I wrapped Owen up in one of these towels, and Tom decided that he also needed to wear a hooded towel, because he had just gotten out of the bath too.  Here are some of the pictures I took.
